Hi!
As a lover of both chocolate and books, I thought what better way to celebrate this than to do a tag combining the two! I saw this tag over at Jack Croxall's blog, enjoy!!
Dark chocolate: a book that covers a dark topic.
The Book Thief by Markus Zusak. World War II and the Holocaust are such horrific times in our history, and this is reflected in the beautiful literature that has been based on them. The Book Thief is one of my favourite examples of this. Zusak's incredibly poetic writing style captures the mindset, pain, and endless hope present in such an awful time.
White chocolate: your favourite light-hearted/humorous read.
The Tallulah Casey series by Louise Rennison. This is the series that I turn to when I'm feeling super down, or home-sick when I'm at college as I absolutely cannot read it without laughing like crazy. It is such a light-hearted, heart-warming series, probably aimed more at a middle grade audience, but I believe could be appreciated by readers of any age! Such a cute series.
Milk chocolate: a book with a lot of hype that you're dying to read.
Cinder by Marissa Meyer. Of course this series is absolutely adored by everyone in the book blogging and booktube community and I've heard so many wonderful things about it! I cannot wait to read it!!
Chocolate with caramel centre: a book that makes you feel all gooey in the middle when you read it.
City of Masks by Mary Hoffman. I loooove this book. Filled with romance, pain, and adventure, all the perfect ingredients for a novel, I read this book dozens of times during my schooling and it never fails to make me feel at home and all gooey inside.
Wafer-free Kit Kat: a book that has surprised you lately.
Rebel of the Sands by Alwyn Hamilton. I was lucky enough to receive a review copy of this through NetGalley (see my review here!) and I absolutely adored it! I wasn't sure if the desert setting and western elements would really be for me, but I found them a fantastic combination and really hope it continues in a series as the world Hamilton has built is so so wonderful!!
Snickers: a book that you're going nuts about.
Passenger by Alexandra Bracken. I've been raving about this non-stop lately, so why not continue! I cannot even comprehend how much I adore Alexandra Bracken's new series, and am ridiculously excited for the second book to be released (even though it's barely been a month since the first one came out!).
Hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows: a book that you would turn to for a comfort read.
The Harry Potter series, obviously, but also the Mortal Instruments series. As the characters in both of these series are so close to my heart, and I have read about them so so many times, it is always comforting to pick them up and return to the worlds that I adore. I feel so at home at Hogwarts, and at the Institute; there is nothing better than snuggling up with a cup of tea and cuddling my dogs while I read them again and again.
I hope you enjoyed this super fun tag! Let me know in the comments if you've done it yourself, and if not, I tag YOU.
Love always,
Ari

Harry Potter Book Tag!
Hey there,
As you would easily realise if you've read much of my blog, I am completely and utterly obsessed with Harry Potter and have been since before I can remember! So what better way to celebrate my love for the boy who lived than to do a tag based solely on him!! Enjoy.
1. What is your favourite book?
This has changed frequently over the years, but at the moment I'd say it's a tie between Goblet of Fire and Deathly Hallows. Goblet of Fire I love for all of the excitement over the Triwizard Tournament, and so many little aspects that are included in that book are super relevant for the tale later on. Deathly Hallows is just incredible in how so much is explained and finally linked together, it seriously blows my mind every time I read it!!
2. What is your favourite film?
For a long time it was Order of the Phoenix, but at the moment I think probably Prisoner of Azkaban. I'm not sure what it is, I'm just loving it lately!!
3. What is your least favourite book?
Ahhh how can I choose??? Maybe Chamber of Secrets? But I seriously cannot choose, I love them all so much.
4. What is your least favourite film?
Again, maybe Chamber of Secrets, but please don't make me choose.
5. Parts of the books/films that made you cry.
This list could go on forever. Dumbledore's death, Dobby's death, Sirius' death, Hedwig's death, Moody's death. And the ultimate. Fred's death.
6. If you could hook up with any character, who would it be?
Ron Weasley. Absolutely.
7. Who is your favourite character?
It's hard for me to decide between Ron and Hermione. Throughout my childhood, Hermione was always such an inspiration, as she is to so many girls, proving that it's okay to love reading, and love school. So even when I was being picked on a bit for being a "nerd" I could go home and read Harry Potter and be reminded by Hermione that it was okay. Lately I have also being really appreciating Ron, and I feel like we have so much in common, always bringing out the humour in a situation and being a loyal friend.
8. Who is your least favourite character?
I think probably Peter Pettigrew. He betrays the people who were meant to be his best friends, and is so weak and lacking in bravery that he turns to the dark side.
9. What is your least favourite line?
In all honesty, I cannot think of any line that I dislike in a Harry Potter book, let alone that I could deem my least favourite line!
10. What would your patronus be?
Well I took the buzzfeed quiz and it said a hare like Luna, but I actually think it would be a dog. My most important value is loyalty and what animal is more loyal than a dog?
11. If you could have the resurrection stone, the elder wand, or the invisibility cloak, which would it be?
Definitely the invisibility cloak. The resurrection stone and the elder wand both terrify me a bit, and how cool would it be wandering around undetected?? You could sneak into all sorts of cool places!
12. Which house would you be in?
I've changed a few times over the years, initially being a Ravenclaw, then a Gryffindor for a while, but I think I have now found my true place. I took the most recent Pottermore sorting quiz and I am officially a... HUFFLEPUFF!!
13. If you could meet any member of the cast, who would it be?
Aaah that is so hard, but I would have to go with Emma Watson. She is such an inspiration, not only with her acting but also her involvement with the UN which I am extremely interested in, having studied international relations at uni. #feminist always.
14. If you were on the Quidditch team, which position would you play?
I think I'd follow in Harry's footsteps and be a seeker. It just seems like it'd be so much fun, roaming around, keeping my eye out for the tiny snitch that could win your team the match.
15. Were you happy with the ending?
Absolutely. To be honest, anything J. K. Rowling writes I am happy with, but I feel like it was a beautiful way to end the story with Harry in the place he'd always dreamed of being - with a family that loves him.
16. How much does Harry Potter mean to me?
I cannot even put it into words. It is not only my childhood, it is a part of who I am and has massively shaped me into the person I am today.
Let me know in the comments how Harry Potter has influenced you, and what is your favourite book?
Love always,
Ari

Books that I loved during my childhood/early teen years!
Hey there!
Hope you're having a fantastic day! Today I thought I'd discuss some of the series and stand alone novels that I loved during my childhood and early teens. I've always been the type of person to re-read books over and over again. For example, I've read the Harry Potter series around 13 times! So there are many books like these that I continually re-read while I was still in school.
So, here are the top ten books/series that I loved during my childhood/early teens (in no particular order, except the first one):
1. Harry Potter series (duh) by J.K. Rowling
As usual when I mention Harry Potter, no explanation required.
2. Series of Unfortunate Events by Lemony Snicket
This seems to be a series that loads of readers loved when they were young. Looking back on it, they seem like they should have creeped me out way more than they did, but I still adore these books!
3. North Child by Edith Pattou
I haven't heard anything on book blogs or booktube about this book, but I've read it so many times, even as I've gotten to my late teens. This novel is loosely based on The Beauty and the Beast, and is incredibly touching, a little eery and super adventurous!
4. Stravaganza series by Mary Hoffman
This is a series that I feel could be enjoyed by both children and adults. Based in an alternate Italy, it is filled with mystery, culture, romance and adventure. Absolutely beautiful.
5. Percy Jackson series by Rick Riordan
Another super popular series, and for a very very good reason! The Percy Jackson series teaches you loads about Greek mythology whilst following Percy on his exciting adventures in Camp Half-Blood and beyond.
6. 39 Clues series
This is another series that taught me loads about history. I read it so so many times and still love it! The 39 Clues follows a brother and sister in a race around the world to find clues left by their ancestors to a secret treasure.
7. Septimus Heap series by Angie Sage
This is one that I think all Harry Potter lovers would adore, though it is completely different in plot and characters! Beginning with Magyk, the Septimus Heap series explores a fantasy world of magic which is extremely intricate and very entertaining.
8. Inkheart series by Cornelia Funke
I always loved this series because I would pretend I was the main character, Maggie, and could read characters out of books too! What an awesome power that would be, hey?
9. His Dark Materials series by Philip Pullman
I adored this series when I was younger, and last year re-read it to see if it still held it's magic. I actually found that I enjoyed it even more this time as I was able to understand so much more of the underlying themes and symbols. I highly recommend that you read this as an adult, as Pullman's atheistic beliefs really come out in this series, particularly the final book, The Amber Spyglass. I definitely enjoyed this one the most as everything came together and you could finally see what was really driving the whole 'dust' notion. Super interesting!
10. Rondo series by Emily Rodda
This trilogy warms the cockles of my heart! I still love to go back and re-read it, re-immersing myself in the beautiful world of Rondo. It is such a lovely, funny series that reminds you of all that is good in the world.

Book Boyfriend Tag!
In celebration of Valentine's Day (or if you don't celebrate this day, it can just be to celebrate beautiful fictional boys!), I thought I'd do the Book Boyfriend Tag, originally created by Rachel Reads on YouTube. Check that video out here. Let's get into it...
1. Most romantic boy
I have two fictional boys for this, and they are Jem from The Infernal Devices series by Cassandra Clare, and Augustus Waters from The Fault in our Stars by John Green. Jem is just such a loving and caring person, and of course his violin skills are also swoon-worthy! Augustus is so wonderful to Hazel, and whilst he is into grand gestures, he also knows that the little things in relationships can be just as romantic.
2. Dark and moody bad boy with a good side
Jamie from Doon, by Cary Corp and Lorie Langdon. When Veronica first meets Jamie, he's very dark and moody, but later shows his lovely true colours!
3. Paranormal boy
Sam from Shiver by Maggie Steifvater. It's been a while since I've read this series but I always loved Sam's love for music and books, and of course being able to shift into a wolf is pretty paranormal!
4. Boy you want to tame
Falco from Venom by Fiona Paul.
5. Boy you friend zoned
Simon from The Mortal Instruments series by Cassandra Clare. I'm sorry Simon, but like Clary I would have to friend zone you! Simon is hilarious and kind, and would definitely be someone I'd love to be friends with.
6. Your soul mate
Dorian from Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas. He loves books. He is funny. He is flirty. He is kind. Hence why Dorian is my soul mate, for sure.
7. Boy you want to elope with
Jamie Fraser from Outlander by Diana Gabaldon. Jamie is such an interesting character who knows so much about the world. He treats Claire incredibly and always forgives her when she makes mistakes. Who wouldn't want to elope with him?!
8. Boy you'd venture anywhere with
Gansey from The Raven Boys by Maggie Steifvater. I feel like Gansey is the perfect answer to this questions, firstly just because I adore his character. And secondly, he is so interested in learning things about the world, particularly supernatural things. So it would be super cool to travel to different places with him!
9. Boy you'd want to be stranded on a desert island with
Ron Weasley from Harry Potter by (queen) J. K. Rowling. I absolutely adore Ron, and may even venture to say that he is my favourite character in Harry Potter... He would always keep me laughing on a desert island and when we decide we'd like to leave he could apparate us away!
10. Most badass boy
Jace Wayland from The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare. What could get more badass than fighting demons? Also, Jace is hilarious and super cute.
Let me know in the comments who your favourite book boy, or girl is. Also if you've done the book boyfriend, or girlfriend tag link it below, I'd love to check it out! Whether you're celebrating Valentine's Day or not, have a wonderful February 14!
Love always,
Ari
P.S. This post is scheduled, as I won't have time to write posts over the next two weeks due to college things, so I will read and reply to any comments after then! xx

Book Blogger TMI Tag!
Hi there!
As my first post on pages of worlds, I thought it would be fun to do a little tag for you to get to know me a bit. First and foremost, my name is Ari and I'm from Australia. Obviously I haven't been tagged by anyone for this, but I first saw the tag on 'The little engine that couldn't''s blog.
Anyhoo, let's get started!
How old are you?
I've recently (in December) turned 18. Woo, adult life!
What book are you reading?
I am currently reading the second book in the Outlander series, Dragonfly in Amber by Diana Gabaldon. And holy dooley it is amazing.
What are you wearing?
A purple dress!
OTP
I find it impossible to choose only one, so I've narrowed down my faves:
Ron and Hermione
Dorian and Celaena
Tessa and Jem (I used to be Will and Tessa but lately have been leaning towards Jessa!)
Blogger or Wordpress?
Blogger at the moment.
Going outside being active or staying in and reading a book?
Reading a book, every time!!
What is the last book you read?
Graceling, by Kristin Cashore. Absolutely loved it, 5/5!
What is the book you're going to read next?
It depends on when my Book Depository order arrives, but possibly These Broken Stars by Amie Kaufman and Meagan Spooner.
Ebooks - yes or no?
Personally, no. Just because I've worked in an independent bookshop and seen the effect that they are having on the book industry. However, I do appreciate the appeal and don't have a problem with people using them.
Where do you prefer to read?
If I'm at college, in bed. If I'm at home, on the lounge in my office/library room.
Who is the last person you tweeted?
I'm relatively new to twitter so am not very active on there, but Diana Gabaldon #queen.
Whose blog did you last look at?
The little engine that couldn't, where I saw this tag!
Who is your favourite blogger?
Sasha Alsberg, from abookutopia!
Who is your favourite book-tuber?
Same as the last question, however I also love Andreya, from Little Yellow Bookshop.
What do you do when someone tells you reading is boring?
Stare at them uncomprehendingly.
Who is the last author you spoke to?
David Burton, the author of How to be Happy. I participated in a theatre course where he was running a scriptwriting workshop!
Who is the last person you texted?
One of my best friends who I went to high school with.
Who is your all-time favourite book character?
Aaaah how can I choose one?!? I'd ultimately have to go with Hermione from Harry Potter, because she really helped to shape me into the person I am today. As with so many other HP fans, she let me know that it's okay to love learning and reading, and for that I will forever be grateful to QUEEN Jo Rowling.
UKYA or USYA?
I really don't have a preference, and I think I probably read a balance of the two.
What is your preferred drink while reading?
Tea, tea and more tea!
If you hated reading, what would you be doing instead?
Probably painting or knitting. But seriously, it hurts me to think of a world where I hated reading.
How many bookshelves do you have?
Three, but they are crazy overflowing and it won't be long before I'll have to invest in another I reckon!
If you had the choice to meet all your favourite book bloggers, or all your favourite authors who would you pick?
My favourite authors, because that would mean meeting J K Rowling, and need I say more??
Insta-love: yes or no?
As a bit of a hopeless romantic, it doesn't really bother me as much as it seems to most other readers. However, it does need to be done well in order to not sound completely cheesy.
Favourite author?
Forever and always, J K Rowling.
What is the number one book on your wishlist?
Cinder by Marissa Meyer! I've heard SO much about the Lunar Chronicles series on booktube and book blogs and I need to get my hands on them!!!
Do you prefer books with female or male protagonists?
Female, because I find them easier to relate to.
Which is your favourite book-to-film adaptation?
Apart from the entire HP series, which I feel like I am answering with for too many questions in this post, I would have to say Divergent, or The Fault in Our Stars. Also special mention to The Hunger Games series! (How freaking incredible was Mockingjay Part 1!!)
What is the last song you listened to?
Youth, by Troye Sivan. Absolutely love him.
Which do you enjoy reading more - positive or negative reviews?
While I do find negative reviews interesting, I prefer positive reviews, particularly of books I've read and loved so that I can fangirl with bloggers about them!
Who are you going to tag?
All of you!
Have a wonderful day, let me know in the comments if you've done this tag, or what your OTP is!
Love always,
Ari
P.S. If you use bloglovin, you can follow my blog here. :)

Love always,
Ari
